Privacy Notice

Last updated:

This site is a free, public chart. It has no accounts, no sign-up forms, no analytics, no advertising, and no tracking. It asks you for nothing. The only personal data it touches is the technical data any web request carries, and this notice explains what happens to it.

Who runs the site

The site is operated under the ESGEX trading identity, which is the data controller for the processing described here. You can contact us about anything in this notice at [email protected].

What we process and why

Two things process visitor data, both for the same reason: keeping the site available and secure.

Our lawful basis for this processing is legitimate interests under Article 6(1)(f) of the UK GDPR: running a working, secure website. We do not use this data for anything else, and we do not sell or share it.

How long we keep it

Server logs are kept for 14 days and then deleted automatically. We keep no other records about visitors.

Local storage on your device

The chart page stores two small values in your browser's local storage. The key esgex-line-mode remembers your choice on the chart's line-color toggle, and the key esgex-instrument remembers which instrument chart you last viewed, so the page looks the same next visit. They contain no personal data, never leave your device, and nothing reads them but this site. We set no cookies.

These preferences do not require a consent banner under UK law, but you are entitled to know about them and to remove them. To clear them, use the toggles on the chart, or clear this site's data in your browser settings. The page works fine without them.

Your rights

Under the UK GDPR you have rights over personal data we hold about you, including access, correction, erasure, restriction, and objection. In practice we hold nothing about you beyond short-lived technical logs, but the rights apply to those too. To exercise any of them, email [email protected].

Complaints

If you have a concern about how we handle personal data, contact us first at [email protected]. We will acknowledge your complaint within 30 days and respond without undue delay. You also have the right to complain to the UK's data protection regulator, the Information Commissioner's Office, at ico.org.uk.

Changes

We may update this notice if the site changes what it does with data. When we do, the date at the top changes. This is always the current version.
